Big Support Cast At Speedcar Super Series
Phil Michell posted Friday February 5, 2010.

Along with round 7 of the Triple X Speedcar Super Series tomorrow nights meeting at Speedway City will also include a round of the Revolution Racegear 360ci Sprintcar Track Championship, the V6 Wingless Sprints, Street Stocks and a crowd pleasing Ramp Jump Race, which will be proudly presented by the Grand Tasman Hotel.

Currently the 360ci Sprintcar field comprises of 17 entries led by current Track Championship point’s leader Shane Hendry. But he will have to work extremely hard to hold onto his 2 point overall lead as the impressive list of nominations includes the likes of Northern Territorian duo Jason McIver and Nick Halkitas, local Adelaide hot shots Mark Caruso, Adam Currie, Michael Burford, Chad Ely, Jamie Hendry, Murray Bridge’s Darryl Wright and Broken Hill’s Darryl Guerin.

The Wingless Sprints will make a welcomed return to the 430 metre clay way after racing at a number of the country venues over the past few weeks. Leading the charge in the V6 Holden powered machines will be newly crowned South Australian Champion Todd Wigzell in his immaculate #88 J&J. Also expected to be among the front runners in the 15 car entry is Cory Hodgson, Scott Bogucki, Brendan Guerin and Mark Bennett. An interesting nomination this weekend in the Wingless Sprints is regular F500 pilot Chris Brooks, who will make his debut in the class.

Once again a huge field of Street Stocks are expected with well over 20 entries and let’s not forget the Tasman Hotel Ramp Jump Race that will top off what should be a great night of dirt track racing.
