Jack Daniel's Racing At Speedway City...
James Baker posted Tuesday July 27, 2010.

Speedway City is pleased to announce the return of naming rights sponsor, Jack Daniel's Racing, for what has become arguably the most prestigious Sprintcar race in South Australia - the George Tatnell inspired Jack Daniel's Racing Australian Sprintcar Nationals on Saturday February 5th, 2011.

The event will be held during a hectic period for teams as they recover from the Australian Championship in Warrnambool and pass through Adelaide on their way to the World Series Sprintcars Grand Final in Western Australia.

Mark Janssan from Jack Daniel's says the partnership provides the ideal relationship. "This is our fifth year in partnership with Speedway City and Jack Daniel's Racing presents us with a platform to engage consumers that are looking for the thrill and excitement that is Sprintcar racing. The relationship with Wendy Turner has been sensational and helped us grow the Jack Daniel's brand, which compliments both parties. This is our fourth year supporting the race and the Jack Daniel's Racing Australian Sprintcar Nationals has become a truly major event."

Defending Nationals champion Robbie Farr has plenty to keep him occupied during the off-season with the birth of his son Colton, however the East Coast Pipeline team is gearing up for another summer on the road chasing blue ribbon events such as the Nationals with the goal to win back-to-back races in Adelaide.

Last month two-time Nationals champ Brooke Tatnell (2008 & 09) won his second World of Outlaws feature event at Junction Motor Speedway in America and recently took out a record eighth World Series Sprintcars championship for Krikkie Motorsport. Tatnell is another competitor expected to challenge for victory.

Other leading drivers expected to nominate include former winners Max Dumesny (2006) and David Murcott (2007) while local stars will be attempting to become the first South Australian to win the title. The meeting doubles as Round 8 of the Speedway City Open Sprintcar Track Championship and will be supported by AMCA Nationals and Street Stocks.

Jack Daniels Racing also supports the venue throughout the year with promotional merchandise, staff and products, including a fully stocked Jack Daniel's Racing Tool Box that 360 Sprintcar Track Champion Adam Currie won last season. “The venue is outstanding in their professional manner and delivering a demographic that is perfect for us and our product through a rewarding partnership and promotional opportunity. We also support the George Tatnell Sprintcar Cup because he was a gentlemen racer and up and coming drivers through the 360 Sprintcar Track Championship which was won by a Rookie last season,” explained Janssan.

Speedway City would like to thank Jack Daniel's for their continued support and look forward to another successful season and exciting Jack Daniel's Racing Australian Sprintcar Nationals on February 5, 2011.
