Christmas & Wss With Liberty Oil Sa & Fuchs Lubricants At Speedway City...
James Baker posted Friday November 12, 2010.
Speedway City is very excited to announce Liberty Oil SA and Fuchs Lubricants as the naming rights sponsors for the Boxing Day World Series Sprintcars 'Speedweek' Round 1.
Promoter Wendy Turner said this was another major boost for her track. "Boxing Day at Speedway City has become an annual tradition and we have spent many years building the event up to where we attracted a record crowd last year and now we have the support of two independent companies in Liberty Oil SA and Fuchs Lubricants, which will hopefully be a sign of even bigger things to come. The old saying used to be 'Friday night is Speedway night' but now you could say 'Christmas time is Speedway time' in Adelaide," said Turner.
Simon Layne from Liberty Oil SA and Fuchs Lubricants acknowledges the opportunity of being involved in the biggest night on the South Australian calendar. "We were very impressed with the crowd at last year's Boxing Night World Series Sprintcars Round and have taken the opportunity to become involved with the big guns of the sport. I believe Speedway City is the best Sprintcar track in Australia and this represents a great opportunity to showcase our product to a packed house of rev heads.
"We also support individuals and sponsor an AMCA National but this gives us the chance to get behind a major event as a joint venture between two independent companies. As independent companies we would like to see the Speedway fans and drivers support Liberty Oil SA and Fuchs Lubricants so I look forward to seeing you all on Boxing Day at Speedway City," said Layne.
With today's competitive fuel markets dominated by large multi-national corporations, it’s good to know you still have the freedom of choice. Liberty provides independent fuel retailers with a real alternative to dealing with the major oil companies.
Meanwhile Fuchs is the world's largest independent manufacturer and supplier of lubricants. With several thousand employees, operating in most worldwide markets, Fuchs' leading position is supported by an extensive range of core program lubricants, complimented by tailor-made solutions for just about every application. The wholly owned Australian subsidiary has been supplying specialised lubricants since the late 1890's and is the leading market player in many lubricant sectors.
So far this season local drivers Jamie Cobby (Opening Meeting) and Matt Egel (Australian Masters) have taken the spoils with the next event scheduled for Speedway City featuring Round 3 of the Revolution Racegear Sprintcar Track Championship for Open & 360 Sprintcars, the second round of the Universal Metal Cleaners Wingless Sprints Track Championship and the second round of the Zoro Signs AMCA National Track Championship on Saturday November 20.
