JENKIN LOOKS TO CONSOLIDATE SERIES LEAD THIS WEEK IN ADELAIDE
Finish Line Media posted Wednesday October 29, 2014.

The next instalment of the Queensland Speedway Spares SA Sprintcar Shootout will be duked out at Adelaide's Speedway City this weekend also doubling up as the Australian Sprintcar Masters. This is the Series first $10,000 to win show so the big guns of Australian Sprintcar racing are in town.

Current Series leader Dylan Jenkin will be looking to consolidate his lead while Series runner up Warrnambool's Darren Mollenoyux has also nominated for this weeks Masters and is clearly eyeing off this Series should a good result come this week. However they will not have it their own way with several big guns in town keen to spoil it for the Series regulars. Current Australian Champion David Murcott has entered along with Former WSS Champions Robbie Farr, James McFadden and current WSS champ and Fan favourite Steven Lines. Hometown hero Trevor Green has also nominated and as this will be his only run at Speedway City this season he will be looking for a big showing.

Others looking to impress from an horrific opening round include Matt Egel who is way down on points in 23rd position and will want a big spike back up towards the top 10. Brad Keller is also in the same boat back in 27th position but has had good form at Speedway City and is the reigning track champion. Luke Dillon back in 9th place would fancy his chances in the Downing Bros #97 this week after a practice run last weekend in which the car was clearly back on the pace. Last weeks 360 Cup winner Brendan Quinn will be looking for a better night out for Round 2 and while hes back in 12th place on points he is another who could surprise for a podium this week. Several other Series drivers will expect a better showing this weekend with Luke Bowey 13th on points, Brendan Guerin back in 20th, Justin Sloan 18th, Leith Ahlfors 17th.

The Caruso brothers will be out to impress after their fantastic runs at Murray Bridge they both sit in the top 5 in points and a good haul of points this week will have them well set up heading into Round 3 in a few weeks.

The Pitt Brothers also did well in Round 1 with Terry sitting inside the Top 10 in 8th place while Hayden is in 12th place and with some great results in WSS last season the #7 OPR Shocks machine could surprise. Terry is also capable of a top 5 finish.

Hard charger from Round 1 Scott Bogucki in the sponsorless #84 machine is back and smart driving gave him a 4th place in Round 1 and with Adelaide one of his favourite track if its arms up and hooky watch this guy fly around the top.

All eyes will be on Speedway City this Saturday Night so get down to the track for a wicked nights Sprintcar action to see who will be the Masters Winner for 2014.

Release prepared by Finish Line Media.
