Nominations have just been released for Saturday Night's (February 2nd) SPRINTCAR TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP - ROUND 7 for both Opens and 360's, and the support sections. There are 25 Sprintcars nominated - 9 cars in the Opens, 16 cars in the 360's. Also supporting the SPRINTCARS will be STREET STOCKS, SUPER SEDANS and ROUND 3 of the ALLSTEEL TRANSPORTABLE HOMES FORMULA 500's STATE SERIES. |

The Allsteel Transportable Homes Formula 500 State Series returns to action this weekend after a break in the calendar of over two months. The series heads to the 'big smoke' this Saturday when Round 3 is conducted at Speedway City and it will be a true test of machinery on the wide open clay way. |

In what proved to be quite a wild night at Speedway City two new South Australian Sprintcar Champions were crowned with Mount Gambier’s Steven Lines and Murray Bridge’s Ryan Jones capturing the titles in two marathon feature events. With both the 410ci and 360ci feature events littered with stoppages Lines and Jones weathered the storm to capture their first State Championships in their respective divisions, with Jones making it a double celebration at it was actually his first ever feature race victory in a Sprintcar. |

This Saturday night South Australia's best domestic Sprintcar pilots will be out in force as they chase the Protec Paints South Australian Sprintcar Championships. Not only will the 410ci Title be on offer but the 360ci State Title is also on the program with a record entry list consisting of 28 drivers from the USA, South Australia, New South Wales, the Northern Territory and Victoria. |

Nominations have just been released for the South Australian Sprintcar Titles for both 410ci and 360ci. There are 18 cars nominated in the Opens, and a staggering 28 cars in the 360's, which will be the biggest 360ci Sprintcar car count ever seen at Speedway City!! Also supporting the Sprintcars will be Street Stocks with a healthy 19 car entry list. |

Nominations have been coming in steadily over the past few days for the 2008 Protec Paints South Australian Sprintcar Championships at Speedway City with the big surprise being the entry of American Jason Johnson. In what should be a huge boost for the January 19 event Johnson will buckle up in not one but two Superloc Eagles as he attempts to make history by winning both the 410 and 360ci State Titles on the same night. |

22 year old speedster Matt Egel claimed round 5 of the Speedway City Sprintcar Track Championship last night with a devastating display in the Richmond Heavy Towing supported feature event. After qualifying on the front row alongside pole sitter Craig Vanderstelt he led the entire 20 lap journey to record his second career feature event victory ahead of last start feature winner Mark Reuter and Lee Dillon. |
